Biography

Danny W. Nicholls, D.O., F.A.O.A.O. is a Board Certified surgeon who has completed twenty years active duty with the United States Air Force. Graduating with honors from Central Washington University, he graduated from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. He completed an Air Force sponsored orthopaedic residency at Dallas/Fort Worth Medical Center. While in the Air Force, he served in the capacity of staff orthopaedic surgeon, Chief of Surgery, Chief of Staff, Squadron Commander, and as Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi and Travis Air Force Base, California.

Dr. Nicholls has over fifteen years experience in general orthopaedics, including clinical and surgical care of shoulder pain, including rotator cuff problems; instability problems and ligament reconstruction of the shoulder, knee and ankle; arthritis of the hip and knee, including primary joint replacement, diagnosis and treatment of peripheral compressive nerve problems; and care of musculoskeletal trauma. He has served distinguished veterans, active duty military, basic trainees and the elite Special Forces personnel.

Dr. Nicholls is Board Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is currently an oral and clinical examiner for that board. He is currently an active member of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons. He has served as an advisor on orthopaedic military Medical Readiness and has been deployed around the world.
